Hinei mah tov u’mah nayim shevet achim gam yachad

Behold how good and pleasant it is for us to dwell together.

We are grateful for your interest in Congregation Kol Ami, and, more than that, we encourage you to come in and meet the many wonderful people who are part of this new and growing congregation. As a unified congregation, our synagogue family includes those joining us from Congregation M’kor Shalom and Temple Emanuel, as well as individuals and families looking for a dynamic, inclusive, and nurturing synagogue community where they feel they belong.

We believe that joining a synagogue is about so much more than becoming a member. It is truly joining in a shared journey with a kehillah kdoshah, a sacred community. Our name “Kol Ami” literally means “the voice of my people,” and reflects our belief that every voice, every person matters. Kol Ami embraces the Jewish value of honoring every person, as we are all made in the Divine image.

Some people choose to join a synagogue to find a spiritual home, a place to join others in prayer on Shabbatot and holidays. Some come to learn and explore Jewish tradition; some join because this is where they can meet and engage with old and new friends. Others join because they love the music or the meaningful way life’s simchas are celebrated, or because here is where they find support and comfort in the embrace of a community in life’s most difficult moments. And some join in search of ways to connect with others striving to make our world a better place. Whatever drew you here, whatever your need, we are here for you, and we look forward to getting to know you better.

This is an especially exciting time in our history, and we look forward to sharing the journey with you! May this be only the beginning of a lifelong relationship with us.

Welcome to Kol Ami.
Welcome home!
