Symphony in C welcomes guest conductor Joseph Young on May 6 in a concert featuring Antonin Dvořák’s Serenade for Winds, Op. 44, B.77, D Minor. The Serenade evokes the lighter, delicate style of the Rococo period. Next, the Symphony will perform Mendelssohn’s final and most renowned Violin Concerto in E minor, Op. 64, the violin soloist is TBA. Mendelssohn’s evocative Symphony No. 4 in A Major, Op. 90, “Italian,” concludes the program.
