Maimonides Chavurah
We are proud to introduce the Maimonides Chavurah at Congregation Kol Ami, co-sponsored by Jewish Sacred Aging. Unique among synagogue programs in our area, we envision this chavurah to be a place of learning, sharing, intellectual discussion, and spirituality as it relates to Judaism and medicine.
We would like to open up participation to physicians in our congregation, in exploring this rich tapestry. Through case-based learning and Jewish text study, we hope to provide learning and depth into the Jewish spiritual and ethical intersections with medical science and practice, of which there are many.
We hope that everyone can bring their individual and unique perspectives to these meetings and conversations. We invite full participation and involvement, and hope that you can bring examples to discuss from your own personal and professional life.
Our inaugural meeting will take place in person at Congregation Kol Ami on Wednesday, May 27, from 7:00-8:30 pm. We hope to see you there, and at future gatherings.
If you plan on attending, please email Rabbi Address at Jewish Sacred Aging.
