First Thursdays: The Changing Structure of American Judaism with Rabbi Hara Person
The Changing Structure of American Judaism with Rabbi Hara Person
Thursday, March 5, 7:30 pm (Zoom only)
The Jewish community is changing, synagogues are changing, and the rabbinate is changing. We’ll explore what these changes tell us about who we are today and where we might be headed in the future. We’ll look at what’s exciting about these changes, and where the challenges are.
Rabbi Hara Person is the Chief Executive of the Central Conference of American Rabbis, where she provides strategic leadership for the professional organization of Reform rabbis and oversees lifelong rabbinic learning, publications, and resources that serve communities across North America and beyond.
This program is open to congregants at no charge and $15 per screen for non-members.
Registration is required by Tuesday, March 3.
First Thursday programs bring you guest speakers, including congregants and rabbis from around the country, to share their expertise on topics of interest. We will also include several discussions of films with Jewish themes.
Sponsored by our Adult Education Committee.
