The History, Power, and Poetry of Our Shabbat Evening Service Liturgy

The History, Power, and Poetry of Our Shabbat Evening Service Liturgy
Led by Rabbi Jennifer Frenkel
Three Wednesdays, March 11, 18 & 25, 10:30-11:45 am (Hybrid)

In this 3-session class, we will take a look at the prayers we recite each Friday evening and learn what they meant in their historical context, the power and meaning they continue to bring to our modern services, and the interpretations and creative renderings of these prayers that have been included in prayerbooks over the years. If you’ve ever wanted to have a deeper understanding of the prayers we say and have an opportunity to read them in a new way, join us for this journey through our Friday night liturgy.

This series is offered at no cost for congregants and $10 per session for non-members.
Registration is required.
